Spring Skincare Routine

Spring Skincare Routine

When it comes to maintaining healthy and hydrated skin, winter is no cakewalk. So many of us are pumped for spring's warmer temperatures but this seasonal transition can be incredibly irritating for your skin!

Moving into Spring, how do we prep the face for sunnier days ahead?

We’ve compiled our Spring Skin-Tips Essentials to maintain healthy, glowy and balanced skin!

1- CLEANSE!

Cleansing is an essential step in your skin-care routine! It helps to remove sweat, sunscreen and makeup that causes a build-up of bacteria which can lead to blemishes.

What's even better than cleansing, is double cleansing!

Effectively breaks down makeup, dirt and debris on the skin’s surface.

Allows your treatment cleanser to penetrate the deeper layers of your skin.

Micro-exfoliates the skin on a daily basis.

2- SUNSCREEN!

The MOST important product that you need to apply every day to your skin, face, body and lips is sunscreen!

As the skin on your face is much more delicate and sensitive than the rest of your body, it is important to use a Day Cream with SPF for your face.

Choose a sunscreen that feels the most comfortable on your skin. If you’re an oilier skin type you’ll enjoy wearing one that is lightweight and not greasy.

If you consider yourself sensitive and your skin gets red easily, you’ll want to find one that doesn’t sting the skin or make it feel irritated.

If your skin colour is deeper in tone, you’ll want a sunscreen that doesn’t look chalky on the skin.

3- ANTIOXIDANT!

Wearing sunscreen is a MUST, however, you should also be applying an antioxidant serum like Vitamin C, to prevent against “free radical damage” like pollution and sunlight that makes your skin age faster.

Vitamin C Serum is recommended to use in the morning to create a powerful protecting barrier from UV damage and environmental aggressors, however, you can also use as a night treatment as free-radical damage continues to affect your skin overnight.
