Why your skincare routine should include your eye area

Why your skincare routine should include your eye area

As you age, your skin loses some of its elasticity. Environmental factors, like sun exposure, as well as genetics play a role in how early wrinkles and fine lines will start to appear on a person’s face.

The skin around your eyes is an area that’s likely to show earlier signs of ageing because the area under your eyeball is thin skin with blood vessels and we have 22 muscles around the eye that help us blink more than 10,000 times a day!

Finding the right skin care routine to address these signs of ageing doesn’t have to be too challenging, though. It’s all about finding the right anti-aging skin care products, from facial cleanser to face moisturiser to eye cream.

Below, find a skin care routine to help you address the appearance of crow’s feet, dark circles, and puffy under-eyes.

  1. Cleanse!

A good skin care routine should consist of using facial cleanser twice a day to wash your face, but that doesn’t mean you have to rub your skin harshly.

Start your skincare regime with the Rejuvenating Foaming Cleanser; a potent cosmeceutical cleanser full of restorative Vitamin C, calming Chamomile, and stimulating Citric Acid.

  1. Pat on a serum

Unlike a moisturiser, serums have a lipid-soluble base which allows the active ingredients to penetrate into the deeper layers of your skin, instead of on the surface.

Look for an anti-aging serum that can help minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time, like the Vitamin A Corrector.

This targeted treatment accelerates skin renewal.

It exfoliates skin at a cellular level to encourage the production of collagen and elastin.

  1. Use a daily moisturiser!

After serum, reach for a moisturiser! The Rejuvenating Day Cream is a lightweight cream full of illuminating Vitamin B3, hydrating Hyaluronic Acid, and protective Zinc.

Restore and enhance skin health daily and enjoy the added benefits of SPF protection.

  1. Choose your eye cream

When you have crow’s feet, dark circles, or puffy under-eyes, finding the right eye cream can help minimise their appearance.

Our option: ASI Hydralift Eye Gel, which can help diminish the appearance of dark circles and fine lines with continued use over time.
