Skincare routine for Baby Mummas: Our best tips!

Wizzy, the Australian Skin Institute Marketing Manager has shared her best tips for balancing pregnancy and keeping her skin healthy and beautiful.

  • How did pregnancy change your skincare routine?

My skincare routine did not radically change when I got pregnant but I adapted it.

For example, the Vitamin A Serum was one of my skincare favourites but it's not suitable for when you're pregnant or breastfeeding because of the Retinol it contains.

  • What about your everyday skincare routine?

My first beauty step is cleansing; I use the Rejuvenating Foaming Cleanser in the shower as it’s so easy and it feels really fresh and clean.

I noticed my skin became a little dry since falling pregnant so I use the Pure Hydration Serum. It’s a hydrating bomb enriched in hyaluronic acid.

I then moisturise my skin with the Rejuvenating Day cream; it has a lightweight texture and is high in Zinc, providing all over SPF protection.

Before putting on any makeup, I use the Vitamin C Serum as a makeup primer. It gives me a natural dewy, glowing look and my makeup stay longer. Secret Top Tip!

At the end of the day, I just cleanse my skin using the Radiant Cream Cleanser; I massage it on my face and it dissolves all the makeup and impurities. I then rinse and apply the Vitamin C Serum followed by the Pure Hydration Concentrate.

The Rejuvenating Night Cream has Vitamin A as an active ingredient so for now I’ve put it aside from my night-time routine. :)

  • Any special treat?

Twice a week I get a light chemical exfoliation with the AHA Power Exfoliant, leaving it on for two minutes and then washing off with water. It leaves my skin exfoliated, detoxified and soft.

I treat myself with a Dermal Face Lift Mask after. This mask dramatically reduces the visible signs of ageing on the entire face and ensures 24-hour lasting hydration. An instant wrinkle filling, rejuvenating and plumping effect is provided by boosting collagen, elastin and hydration.

  • Do you use anything on your tummy?

I love using the Vitamin C Serum on my tummy. It's super hydrating, works on rejuvenating the cells and keeping my skin super smooth.
