Boost your immunity with an IM Shot

Boost your immunity with an IM Shot

You’ve probably heard of vitamins such as folic acid, riboflavin and thiamin before but did you know that they are only 3 of 8 B-Vitamins that make up the Multi-B group.  Each have their own unique attributes but together form a powerful alliance critical to the body’s cellular health.  Multi-B Forte Vitamins can be taken in tablet form or easily administered as an IM Booster Shot.

The Immune Boost IM shot contains a concentrated dose of the essential B vitamins to help increase your energy levels while balancing your mood and strengthening your immune system.  A course of 4-10 boosters may be recommended depending on your individual needs but can be administered weekly if desired.

Vitamin B-1 Thiamine

Vital to the healthy growth and function of organis, including heart and brain.  It’s used by nearly all our cells and helps convert food into energy.  Our bodies do not produce Thiamine so the only way to get it is by injection or consuming it via tablet form or foods such as meat, nuts and whole grains.

Vitamin B-2 Riboflavin

The body needs Vitamin B-2 to break down proteins, fats and carbohydrates and plays a vital role in maintaining the body’s energy supply.  It can be found in plants, grains and dairy products.  The body can only store small amounts so we need to keep topping this B up.

Vitamin B-3 Niacin

We need Niacin to maintain healthy skin, nerves and digestion.  It’s found in yeast, meat, fish, eggs as well as nuts and green vegetables.  It plays a particular role in producing certain hormones in the adrenal glands and also helps to remove harmful chemicals from the liver.

Vitamin B-5 Pantothenic Acid

One of the most important vitamins for human life, vitamin B-5 is necessary for making the red blood cells which carry oxygen throughout the body and also transport carbon dioxide back to the lungs to be exhaled… how cool is that!

Vitamin B-6 Pyridoxine

Among other things, Vitamin B-6 plays an important role in mental health.  It helps the body make serotonin which regulates mood and norepinephrine which helps the body cope with stress.  B-6 is also involved in the body’s production of melatonin which helps regulate our internal clock and regulates sleep.

Vitamin B-7 Biotin

The word Biotin comes from the Greek work Biotos (wasn’t that in a movie??) which means ‘life’ or ‘sustenance’.  It helps keep our hair, skin, eyes, liver and nervous system healthy.

Vitamin B-9 Folic Acid

Folate is a natural form of B-9 and is actually found in many foods but Folic Acid is a synthetic form that is easier for the body to absorb.  Similar to the other B-Vitamins, Folate is responsible for making red blood cells and converting carbohydrates into energy but it’s also particularly important during periods of rapid growth like during pregnancy and infancy.

Vitamin B-12 Cobalamin

B-12 is an energy and memory booster that also has an essential function in the production of DNA.  It also helps to prevent a type of anemia called megaloblastic anemia which can make you feel super tired and lethargic.  B-12 is found in meat, fish eggs and milk so if you are on a vegan diet, consider boosting your B-12.
