Beautiful skin at 40: what should I do?

Beautiful skin at 40: what should I do?

It’s never too late to start taking care of your skin!

Cleansing your skin (double cleansing!) is a key stage in your routine. It removes impurities and pollution as well as makeup.

Exfoliation allows you to remove dead skin cells and to reveal the soft, bright skin beneath.

And moisturising is the best way to keep a soft and supple skin whilst simultaneously reinforcing the cutaneous barrier.

In your 40s, your skin is going through changes:

- Collagen & Elastin: Collagen and elastin production diminishes with age and you will start to notice fine lines and wrinkles, mainly in the oval area of the face.

- Dark spots & Pigmentation: When we age the production of cutaneous pigment increases and darks spots and pigmentation can appear.

- Hormonal changes: The skin gets thiner with age and can become dry, dehydrated and more sensitive.

In your 40’s, your skin needs help to maintain its vitality. This is even more true if you live in an urban environment where your skin is likely to be suffering from the harmful effects of oxidative stress (pollution, cigarette smoke, etc).

Skincare routine top tips:

Cleanse

Cleansing is one of the most important steps in your skincare routine. It removes makeup, unwanted oil and dead skin cells and it also helps to maintain skin’s natural moisture balance.

Our Top Tip: Always Double Cleanse. Double Cleansing (washing your face twice) has become the new standard for daily skin care routines and it is great to micro-exfoliate the skin on a daily basis. You can also use a facial cleansing brush. It is a great tool to stimulate circulation, complement exfoliation and improve skin tone and texture.

A truly enhanced cleansing experience!
