3 Steps to save your skin this Spring

3 Steps to save your skin this Spring

Just like your wardrobe changes every season, your skin too needs different treatment with every season change. As you leave behind winter and enter into spring, you need to take extra care with your skincare regime. Here are some guidelines on products and ingredients that you should include in your skincare routine to maintain a healthy skin barrier function during environmental changes.

  1. KEEP UP THE MOISTURE

Use a moisturiser that is rich in natural oils, vitamins and antioxidants to eliminate free radicals, increase hydration and rejuvenation. We recommend ASI Rejuvenating Day Cream and Rejuvenating Night Treatment.

On top of this, ensure you have plenty of EFA’s (Essential Fatty Acids) in your diet and supplements. EFA’s help to improve oil quality and oil flow - this will promote a healthy acid mantle and barrier function. In turn preventing dehydration and breakout.

  1. USE A CHEMICAL EXFOLIANT

Winter dehydration can cause a build up of skin cells. Your skin cells naturally turn over, however, with an overproduction from dehydration you can get a build up that causes flaking and uneven skin texture.

To clear away dead and dry skin cells, exfoliate your skin using a suitable chemical exfoliant.h. This will promote healthy skin cell turnover, collagen and elastin production, and remove excess makeup and dead skin cells.

ASI’s AHA Power Exfoliant should be used 2 times a week. Use Exfoliant after cleansing on dry skin with dry hands. Wash off thoroughly after 2 minutes.

  1. FEED YOUR SKIN WITH A VITAMIN RICH SERUM

Skin needs nutrients and vitamins to survive and function properly just like any other organ. Hence, treat your skin with serum that is rich in Vitamins C, B3, and A - the core Vitamins your skin needs.

Vitamin A - Retinol, this powerful product exfoliates skin at a cellular level to encourage the production of collagen and elastin. Wake up with clarified and refined skin that is firmer and brighter. Targets enlarged pores, ageing, dehydration, pigmentation, scarring. (Do not use while pregnant or breastfeeding)

Vitamin B3 - Nicinamide enhances skin clarity, hydration and illumination, while boosting collagen and elastin. Great for sensitive or red skin, blocks melanin production (pigmentation, brightens and illuminates skin, and increases hydration.

Vitamin C Serum - Vitamin C is an antioxidant protector - A powerful serum to boost collagen and elastin. Encourage skin cell formation and rejuvenation while protecting against free radical damage. Targets ageing, fine lines, scarring, uneven skin tone, dehydration and age spots.

ASI’s Nanotechnology allows our treatment serums to reach the innermost layers of the skin and work inside out.
