What Is Zinc Oxide?

Zinc oxide is a naturally occurring mineral that works as a physical sunscreen agent, sitting on top of the skin to reflect UV radiation rather than absorbing it. It's well tolerated by most skin types, including sensitive and reactive skin, and has a long history of use as a calming, soothing ingredient.

Beyond sun protection, ASI uses zinc oxide in its mineral foundations, where it contributes both coverage and a gentle protective quality.
