What Is Cetearyl Alcohol?
Despite the name, cetearyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol, not the drying kind found in some astringents. It's derived from plant oils and works as a thickener and emulsion stabiliser, while also lending a soft, conditioned feel to skin.
It's one of the most common texture ingredients across ASI's moisturisers, helping give creams and serums their smooth, spreadable consistency.
