What Are Ceramides?
Ceramides are lipid molecules that occur naturally in the outermost layer of skin, where they act like mortar between bricks, holding skin cells together and forming a key part of the barrier that keeps moisture in and irritants out.
ASI's Barrier Hydration Complex uses a combination of three ceramide types — NP, AP and EOP — to closely mimic the skin's own barrier composition, alongside cholesterol and phytosphingosine.
