What Is Alcohol Denat.?
Alcohol denat. is ethanol that has been denatured to make it unsuitable for consumption, then used in cosmetic and personal care formulas. At higher concentrations, it's an effective antibacterial agent, which is why it's the primary active in ASI's Hand Sanitiser Gel.
In smaller amounts, it can also help formulas feel lighter and faster-absorbing by speeding up evaporation on the skin's surface.
